Hi, thanks for looking at my site. I'm Adam, a 20-year-old art student (hence having far too much spare time on my hands :p) I've been working on computer-generated Daleks and various other Dr Who-related thingamies for a few years now, and just about all the images are available here.
Most of these images are inspired by scenes and stories from all of Dr. Who's 40-something years.
I am by no means a professional 3-D modeller, all you see on this site has been done for fun, and is here to share with other fans. Alongside image galleries and video clips are a handful of 3-D models to download if you too are interested in 3-D Daleks, and better-resolution images for desktop wallpaper.
Each Image will start off with a wireframe model which is lit, positioned and rendered to produce an image file. Most 3-D models were built using a freeware program called Anim8or. There's also the occasional bit of modelling and rendering done in a very early version of truespace.
Then, most images get a bit of "post-production" work done, photomontaging in photographic elements and adjusting contrast and colour levels and various other tweaks to give the image the right feel. This is usually done in Photoshop, though in the past I've also used a freeware program called The Gimp .
UPDATE Oct. 2007 - Alongside the finished images on this site, I'm now adding a wide selection of my original models, or meshes, which I hope may be of use to other fans doing similar things.
If for any reason you want to get in touch, I'm always happy to hear from fellow fans.
